Marguerite is a filmmaker born and raised in Cairo, Egypt.
After enrolling in a digital filmmaking camp in New York she was set on film as her career.
During her semester abroad in Paris, Marguerite took time to direct her first fiction short. She then received her B.A with highest honours from the AUC with a double major in Film and Integrated Marketing Communications.
After graduating, Marguerite worked in several fields of the film industry from production to academia working as a TA at AUC as well as working in local festivals such as Panorama of European Film, and GFF.
In 2022, she finished her M.A in Montage in FAMU where she specialised in editing animation and documentary as well as making experimental films.
She currently works as a lecturer in FAMU specialising in short films and the intersection of humanities and montage.
